SciGenesis expands its R&D efforts into the Accelerator
May 7, 2010
SciGenesis, LLC continues to grow! We are excited to announce our planned expansion to The Accelerator at The Garden, a project by the University of Southern Mississippi. This project as described briefly by officials with the University “is a science-based incubator that combines laboratory and office space, a high output formulation science laboratory, a technology commercialization company, and the equipment and technicians skilled in scaling up.”
The SciGenesis team has grown to include eight employees, three of which are full time with five team members currently enrolled as full time students in the various science programs offered at the University of Southern Mississippi. The various contracts awarded to the team so far have required that we expand to this additional lab space, with our Phase I contracts continuing to be developed in our space on the University’s main campus and the Phase II scale up and commercialization of our military face paint to be located at the Accelerator laboratories.
SciGenesis is a Mississippi University Research Authority (MURA) company commercializing proprietary technology licensed from the University of Southern Mississippi and Virginia Institute of Technology. The company develops novel, high performance, stimuli-responsive coatings, films, and adhesives.
